The Pied Piper of Cats
.................well really just one cat.
For almost two years or more now, I think almost three, we have a grey cat that visits our house, begs for food and hangs around. For some really strange reason, prob cause hes grey, he reminds me of my cat Rajah the Great, who we had to put down about 6 years ago. So what do I do? I feed him. I set little pillows and blankets outside for him. In the winter, my husband puts out his big spotlight for warmth.
I have named him Bill. Bill follows me around. When I walk Dixie, we are walking along with her leash and Bill is either a ways behind us just trotting along, or sometimes only a few steps behind. Sometimes he runs up ahead past Dixie, and then waits for us to catch up and walks behind us again. And he does this allllll the time. I hear from some of the neighbors that its sort of a sight to see. So, I say, I am the pied piper.
And Dixie and bill even like each other. A big dog came up to bill one day and Dixie barked her head off and tried to chase it. Well, for as far as the leash would reach. And Dixie, after all, is a quite fierce, scruffy, little thing. So, in turn, one day we are walking along near the ditch/woods, and a snake crosses our path. Without missing a beat, Bill runs ahead of us and pounces the snake. Its safe to say, we take care of each other.
So here we are in Nov and the weather is turning cold. Don't worry Bill, we will set your light up soon!
