RIGHTS

ok, so I didn't want my first blog post to be a "rant", but as luck would have it, that's just the way it works out.  Will be one of many, I'm sure.
So, RIGHTS!  Parental rights.  Yep, the mother has a lot of rights.  Yes, I understand the dad has rights.  Heres where the situation gets heated, sticky, and oh so very true.
The person with the most rights is the "littlest one".  That IS correct that a persons a person no matter how small.  Here we have this little child who didn't ask to be conceived and born but he is.  Hes floating around all warm and comfy and minding his own business at being perfectly content, and then BAM hes out in the cold world.

So, now that hes born, lets talk about his rights!  He has the right to be kept warm.  He has the right to have food, milk, water and even snacks.  He has the right to have diapers, lotion, cream, powder and needed medication.  He has the rights to vaccinations and health care.  He has the right to have soap to keep clean and shampoo for his hair.  He has the right to have clothes to wear....well now that hes born and not just "floating around in there", hes gotta wear something right?   And he needs to have shoes for his feet.  A brush and comb for his hair.  A toothbrush, toothpaste (the special kind).  He even has the right to his own plates and dishes and sippy cups.  He, of course, has the right to comfort....comfort in his home, comfort in pacifiers ,whatever he needs to be comfortable.   He has a the right to a safe place to live and to have water and electricity, air conditioner and heat.  He has the right to a bed to sleep in, with sheets and blankets, pillows and even toys.    He has the right to his own special high chair to sit in.  He most importantly has the right to be kept safe.....safe from all harm......baby gates, baby locks, door locks and the like.   He needs to feel protected and be protected...............its his right.   He certainly has the right to be happy.

Now back to the parent rights.  Some are good at it..............some realize their responsibilities instead of standing tall on their selfish soapbox spouting about how they HAVE RIGHTS.  Do your job.  Do whats right.  Give YOUR KID HIS RIGHTS.

I know I may catch some hell for all this.  Don't care.  Some will agree, that's nice.  But as I've said before and will undoubtedly say again ......the beat goes on.............dead that is!
